Best mussels anywhere! Had an amazing Spanish seafood stew. We enjoy the Dock - enclosed but feels like outdoors.
Have been a loyal customer since they opened 27 Years ago and will remain so! My Wife and I came in recently for what must have been our 100th + meal there (conservatively) and we both commented on how good it has consistently been. The front of the house people are always welcoming and the serving staff friendly and professional. Our favorite bartender "Moe" is a joy to be around and really knows her way around a Martini. The food speaks for itself with fresh seafood rotating seasonally and an evolving menu that doesn't disappoint. Here's to coming back for another 27 Years.
Excellent experience at the WCYC that isn't anywhere near the water. Cute restaurant with a ton of yachting-inspired decor and EXCELLENT service. Everything we had here this afternoon was delicious - from calamari to mussels to the oysters. They have a pretty robust menu with lots of seafood options and a few non seafood options. The crab grilled cheese was AH-MAZING, and came with coleslaw and lightly garlicky garlic fries. The oysters were fresh and they offered at least 4 varieties. The halibut was prepared well and the side of mashed potatoes was creamy! Just went you've had more than enough to eat, they bring out the dessert menu and you just can't resist. The creme brulee and sundae were both excellent, but didn't stand a chance against the peach cobbler which was a 10/10 and served with a French vanilla ice cream.
Oh my goodness I love this place. Every single time that I go, I get the same thing the crab and avocado sandwich which is toasted and yummy and comes with fries. Best of all is dessert which is the Commodore Sundae. You have to dine in to be able to order the Commodore Sundae. It is this amazing gooey yummy creation that is incredible.
Still fantastic after all these years! Even with a new husband, I still love coming back to this spot. The food remains top-notch, and the service is consistently great. Over the past few years, I've started bringing the kids here too. It's one of the best low key, kid-friendly restaurants in the Bay Area. Now, let's talk about the food. One the waiters recommendation we ordered Oysters, they were exceptional. We took whatever the waiter said was best. The Crab Cakes were absolutely fantastic. Do not skip those. I ordered the Lobster Roll. It was a bit underwhelming and I really didn't like the coleslaw. The Garlic Fries were a pleasant surprise. They showed up on the table with out even asking. The Brussels Sprouts looked too good to not order and shockingly my husband really liked them too. The birthday boy, my husband, got the Mahi Mahi. I tried a little bit and it was so buttery and delicious. He was very impressed with his choice. Overall, this place continues to impress, and it's become a go to for family dinners. Highly recommend!
4.6/5 I came here and tried the seafood stew entree. This was what I will get over and over again coming to this restaurant. Just this entree alone makes me rank this restaurant the best one in downtown Walnut Creek. I am biased though as I am very partial to this kind of entree as it is difficult to find :)
Love! I totally get why this place is an institution in Walnut Creek. The service is amazing and they really have such a diverse menu with a great vibe. It was our first time here after I signed up for their membership which is free (they even send you like a library card type membership card)! We came on Monday for "Mussel Madness" which is AYCE mussels for $25, what a deal! They had 3 different flavors for the broth, all of which were amazing and it comes with a side of fries. Wine and cocktails were delicious. We made reservations which I highly recommend doing as it was quite busy on the Monday we went. Overall, would definitely come back again!
Still an amazing experience every time we go. For diners with a sweet tooth, the Meyer lemon cheesecake is absolutely delicious. If you see it on the menu you want to start with dessert!!! BTW - the halibut with capers is outstandingly good.

Every offering was an excellent intro, bridge and chorus to a perfect harmonious symphony of dishes... Service: 5/5 Service was absolutely perfect tonight. The host was enthusiastic and welcoming and kindly greeted my Nana "happy birthday" and immediately seated us at our favorite table. Our waitress was Alison (quite possibly our favorite waitress at WCYC). She was very attentive with a great sense of humor and obliged to each and every one of my special requests. She also helped me sing happy birthday to my Nana. She had a nice voice and this compliment is coming from a Berklee College of Music graduate :) Ricky was also very helpful. As was Emilio. Brandon, the bartender made sure our libation service was extraordinary. An extra special thank you to Irena. She is such a treasure and an asset to WCYC. She always ensures that our dining experience is beautiful from beginning to end. Thank you for taking such good care of us during our birthday celebration. We appeciate your professionalism, warmth and sincere kindness... Til we meet again :) We dined here once again to celebrate their annual January lobster month. We were greeted so warmly by the manager, Irena... Food: Yacht club serves the best and freshest oysters. Their presentation is a cut above the rest... comes with lemon, cocktall sauce, mignonette freshly grated horseradish and chef kev's "hey mon that's hot" sauce :) 16 oysters: * 4 Kumamoto (my favorite) * 4 SummerLove * 4 Kusshi * 4 Point Reyes 10/10 * Lobster meal deal... lobster was grilled to perfection. Comes with regatta fries, cole slaw, drawn butter, pickled red onions. My only qualm is... I wish the drawn butter was served warm. I asked for extra lemon wedges... Dessert: 9/10 * Singing dog vanilla bean créme brûlée. * Ice cream sundae. Service: 8/10 We had a wonderful dining experience overall. Oysters & Lobsters were a culinary delight. I was quite disappointed in our waitress, Lydia. She was not very attentive and was very lackluster. She forgot all of my requests for simple things like extra lemons, extra butter & extra ice for my Sprite. To make up for all of the inadequacies is the manager, Irena. She is always so warm, welcoming, kind and hospitable. She is such an assett to WCYC... Overall, I enjoyed my visit. Food was delicious. Warm welcome. And a positive atmosphere. Thank you again, dear Irena. You are a true gem...
"Clam Chowder, Grilled Halibut, Creme Brulee" We were a party of nine for a company luncheon. It was a good experience. They had prepared a table for us and we were promptly served. It's not very large inside, but the hostess explained they have a secret room in a different building close by. Good to know. I started with a cup of clam chowder soup. Outstanding! I appreciate the attention to detail for even just a starter. For my entree I had grilled halibut with cream potatoes on the side. Not many restaurants serve halibut anymore, so I was delighted. It was perfectly cooked--not too rare but not overdone. It's a light meal, so I had to get a creme brulee to finish off the meal. I can still taste that first bite. My colleagues ordered a wide variety of different entrees, starters, and desserts. We all had a great time. Thank you for making our company luncheon a success. Outstanding service, outstanding food. As in most of downtown Walnut Creek, parking is tight and you will likely have to pay. I found out later there is free parking near the movie theater.
